How it works

A careful start. Less work as confidence grows.

Connect your YouTube channel, set your rules and begin in Review Mode. See how Comment Guardian handles your comments before handing over selected actions.

From connection to your first review

  1. Connect your channel

Sign in to your workspace and authorize your channel through Google. You stay in control of the connection.

  2. Set the starting policy

Allow ordinary disagreement and criticism, set clear limits on abuse and define what you want to review.

  3. Review the recommendations

Read the reason and relevant context. Make the final call while Comment Guardian’s automatic actions stay off.

  4. Choose selective automation

Review results for each action separately. Enable only eligible actions after sufficient validation, with unclear cases still sent to you.

The context behind a comment

Fewer repeated explanations from you.

A phrase that looks harsh in isolation might be the name of your series. Confirm the meaning, correct a channel description or explain a recurring person so future reviews have the right background.

Look at the conversation
Use the parent comment and relevant replies to understand who is being addressed.
Bring in the right background
Creator, channel, series and video context can cover terminology, sponsors, organizations and community vocabulary. You can edit it.
Use transcripts selectively
Choose transcript context where it helps. Retrieve a relevant excerpt when simpler context leaves a reference unclear.

Policy review

Repeated corrections can suggest a clearer rule. Review affected examples, compare a draft with earlier recommendations and activate the change yourself.

Why recommendations would change

The draft clarifies that ordinary disagreement is allowed. Unclear targets still need a decision.
